Cambridge Assessment extends e-testing agreement with RM Education

Cambridge Assessment has awarded RM Education a one-year extension to the existing e-testing, hosting and support service agreement.

RM Education’s Assessment & Data Division will support Cambridge ESOL, a division of Cambridge Assessment, as they roll out further instances of e-testing across their worldwide test centres and upgrade existing software. Cambridge ESOL are experts in language assessment; Cambridge English exams are the world’s leading range of certificates for learners of English. The initial roll-out underlines Cambridge ESOL’s commitment to assessment innovation, with around 150,000 tests expected to be taken onscreen in the coming year.

John Ingram, Director of RM Education’s Assessment & Data Division, said:

“Cambridge ESOL’s continuing drive to improve assessments around the world with the deployment of secure, efficient and innovative technology is something we are delighted to be able to support via our leading-edge software and services.”

Patrick Craven, Principal Business Analyst eAssessment, Cambridge Assessment, commented:

“Cambridge ESOL aims to promote language learning internationally through the development and delivery of high quality assessments. This roll-out is part of an ongoing commitment by Cambridge Assessment to harness and exploit assessment technology advances to support this mission.”

RM Education has provided online assessment solutions to Cambridge Assessment since 2005, including online testing and onscreen marking solutions and the secure scanning and processing of millions of exam scripts each year.
