The Future-Ready Assessment Ecosystem: Institutions
Assessment organisations are navigating rapid technological change, evolving learner expectations and increasing demands for efficiency, quality and governance. Building a future-ready assessment ecosystem requires institutions to rethink how assessment is designed, delivered and managed.
This week focuses on the organisational challenges and opportunities shaping modern assessment. Sessions will explore AI in assessment operations, strategic planning, data-driven decision making and AI governance, providing practical insights into how institutions can build resilient, responsible and scalable assessment systems.Digital assessment needs to work for everyone involved - providing candidates with an accessible, inclusive and straightforward experience, while giving organisations confidence that their assessments are valid, reliable and defensible.
About this session
This session introduces the Digital Assessment Journey Framework - a practical framework built around six key stages of the learner journey. At each stage, we’ll explore the questions organisations delivering assessments should be asking, and how technology can help them meet the needs of candidates, remove potential barriers and support the assessment process more effectively.
Register - Looking at the candidate’s first interactions with the assessment process, from finding the information they need to registering and understanding what is expected of them.
Prepare - Considering what candidates need ahead of an online assessment so they feel informed, prepared and confident about what will happen on the day.
Access - Including how to make assessments more accessible through inclusive design, clear language and other appropriate adjustments, and how technology and AI can help remove barriers for candidates with different needs without compromising the validity or standard of the assessment.
Complete - Looking at the experience through to completion, ensuring candidates understand what they need to do and organisations have confidence that assessments are completed and recorded correctly.
Recover - Considering what happens when things don’t go to plan, how candidates can be supported and how unexpected technical or practical problems can be handled.
Results & next steps - Exploring how results and certification are communicated, accessed and verified, so candidates know the outcome and organisations have reliable evidence of achievement.
Attendees will leave with a clear approach to reviewing their assessment journey, enabling them to ask the right questions and identify opportunities to improve the candidate experience.
