Andrew Miller to keynote at eAA Annual General Meeting
The e-Assessment Association is pleased to announced that Andrew Miller, Director of Teaching and Learning at Singapore American School, will deliver a keynote presentation at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting on 1 October at 11am BST.
Andrew supports P-12 faculty and staff through professional learning, curriculum and resource alignment, and strategic planning. Previously Andrew was a instructional coach at Shanghai American School, as well as a classroom teacher in Washington State in the U.S. He is also a consultant with ASCD and previously consulted with PBLWorks. He has supported countless schools through workshops, trainings, and coaching particularly in the areas of assessment and student-centered practices.
Members will be welcomed to the virtual meeting by Chairman Tim Burnett. The AGM formalities will include brief reports from the Chair, Chief Executive and Treasurer. Association Secretary, Graham Hudson, will announce the results of the annual election where the eAA will be welcoming eight new members to the Board.
Earlier this year the Board of the e-Assessment Association made some key decisions to ensure the continued successful growth of the association and enable the team to better respond to the rapidly changing sector that we support. Matt Wingfield stepped down from the Board after a period of ten years’ service and stepped into the interim role of Chief Executive, leading a new Executive Team and working to the direction of the main Board, to deliver the day-to-day activities of the association, and to generate increasing revenue streams to be ploughed back into the eAA services.
The remit of the main eAA Board remained unchanged – retaining the overall responsibility for the governance of the association, as well as shaping the overall strategy and trajectory of the association.
The Annual General Meeting is an opportunity for all association members to hear directly from the eAA Board and Chief Executive, and to get involved and the eAA looks forward to welcoming you all on 1st October.
