Europe launches the largest global research into online proctoring

Online proctoring has seen a major rise in use in the past year, with more and more institutions and e-learning services adopting its practices in global assessment. It is still a very new field, so well-documented research on the topic is not yet available. This is the goal of the Online Proctoring for Remote Examination project (OP4RE).

The consortium consists of ProctorExam (NL), University of Hertfordshire (UK) the VU University Amsterdam (NL), Hasselt University (BE) Erasmus University (NL), FIED (FR), Wilhelm Büchner University (DE)  Fontys University (NL) and over 20+ associate partners (http://onlineproctoring.eu/who-we-are) who have been working together to formulate a well documented 3 year research trajectory to further the developments of online proctoring in education.

The central themes of this project are:

1)    Privacy

2)    Security

3)    Application

4)    Experience and Validity

5)    Accreditation
