The 2021 Wrap Up - Exploring connections between cognitive enhancing drugs & online assessment with Dr Ellie Dommett

During this end-of-year wrap up, we’ll hear from Dr Ellie Dommett as she explores connections between cognitive enhancing drugs and the increasing use of online assessment.

“Cognitive enhancing drugs are thought to be used by up to 25% of students in universities to boost their concentration and are often regarded as a form of cheating, and yet universities have no effective ways of managing their use. We do know that certain factors increase the likelihood of using these drugs, including stress and competitiveness. As more assessment moves online we will look at some of the ways in which assessment design might increase or decrease drug use.”

Join Dr Ellie Dommett and eAA CEO Matt Wingfield for this fascinating topic followed by a look back at 2021, and a brief insight into the e-Assessment Association’s plans for 2022.
