Digital Literacy: Myths, realities and future directions

The first presentation of ACER UK’s Autumn 2017 Seminar Series.

Julian Fraillon, Research Director of ACER’s Assessment and Reporting (Mathematics and Science) Research Programme will cover the following:

  • the evolution of constructs that broadly fit under the umbrella of ‘digital literacy’;
  • the educational contexts in which they have evolved;
  • what data studies such as the International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS) tell us about what students are learning;
  • and how it is being taught, and what the likely future directions in the teaching, learning and assessment of digital literacy-related areas seem to be.

The seminar will include time for Q&A and networking as is held in London at the Wellcome Collection.
