SIOP 17
SIOP is the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Their annual conference and exhibition is SIOP’s annual meeting for I-O psychologists.
Full information about the event can be found at SIOP’s website here
The huge range of applications and references to assessment are clear to see with a simple search in the SIOP website for the word ‘assessment’. Then browsing the event’s searchable programme you will find everything from master tutorials in Basic Machine Learning to sessions titled “Validation of A Critical Thinking Measure” and “Facebook User Personality DIF across Cultures”.
The depth and breadth of topics and sessions for those looking at and working with e-assessment in the workplace, leads us to add this to our events calendar; but we would be interested to hear from any of our members who attend or who have attended in the past, so we can pass on any reviews to other members.
What is I-O?
Industrial-organizational (I-O) psychology is the scientific study of working and the application of that science to workplace issues facing individuals, teams, and organizations. The scientific method is applied to investigate issues of critical relevance to individuals, businesses, and society.
