Leadership in National Assessment
‘Leadership in National Assessment’ is Cambridge Assessment’s newest course for international education specialists who want to gain a better understanding of assessment, education and society from a global perspective.
The 2015 course brought together ministry and examining board leaders from countries as diverse as the Bahamas, Indonesia and Portugal.
The course programme examines the role and use of international surveys, such as PISA and TIMSS, the role and impact of assessment on society, including dealing with the media, as well as the day-to-day job of leading an assessment agency.
Each course delegate will have a 1:1 opportunity to discuss issues pertinent to their context with an expert from Cambridge Assessment.
The course is held in central Cambridge from 19-23 September 2016, starting on Monday morning and finishing on a Friday.
Who should attend?
This course is for senior managers in examination boards, academics with an advisory function, policy makers and ministry officials. Individuals with responsibilities for the revision, planning and implementation of complex education reforms and systems will find the course particularly useful.
The course programme is built around interactive workshops and one-to-one discussions. You must therefore have a good level of English.
