Elections 2023
The e-Assessment Association is a not-for-profit membership organisation governed voluntarily by a Board made up of both Corporate and Ordinary Members.
Through September and October 2023 we will be holding our online election for eAA Board Members as previous Board Members stand down by rotation.
This year we have four positions available for Ordinary Members and three positions available for Corporate Members.
We are now inviting all eAA members to submit their nomination in advance of the election process which opens in late September.
Who can stand as a Board member?
Any existing member of the e-Assessment Association can be nominated (by themselves or someone else) to stand in these elections.
All members are welcome to put themselves forward. This year we are particularly keen to encourage nominations for individuals with skills in the legal aspects of e-assessment (especially in an international context), and from individuals with experience in HR and e-assessment.
What you need to do
To nominate yourself or another eAA member for election, please submit your nomination by following the link at the bottom of this page no later than Wednesday 27 September, 23:59 (BST). On the form we ask for the following:
- 200 word maximum mini-biography to include a short summary of the relevant experience of the person nominated as well as reasons why they want to join the eAA Board. This mini bio is really important as it helps members decide who to vote for in the election.
- Head shot of nominated individual (ideally JPEG format).
Both the short bio and headshot will appear on the eAA website during the election period. Please ensure you have the permission of your nominated individual for both their biography and image to be displayed publicly on the eAA website before submitting the form.
2023 Election Key Dates:
- Deadline for receipt of nominations: Wednesday 27 September, 23:59 (BST)
- Election period (if there are more nominations than vacancies): Monday 2 October to 23:59 (BST) on Monday 18 October.
- AGM and announcement of election results: Tuesday 24 October 2023
Why join the eAA Board?
With the eAA’s increased visibility during the past year, growing membership and a very successful Awards and International Conference, the influence of members is being seen in assessment systems globally. Being on the eAA Board is a great opportunity to play an active part in the development of the association and the role it plays within the wider market.
A Board Member of the e-Assessment Association (eAA) is expected to dedicate a minimum of 30 minutes per week to eAA matters. This includes contributing at least one annual article on e-assessment, actively promote eAA at relevant events, attend at eAA Board and other meetings, generate new ideas regularly and be involved in various committees. They should encourage eAA membership within their organisation and integrate eAA promotion into their speaking engagements and event participation.
If successfully elected, nominees will be committing to a three year term as a member of the eAA Board and will be expected to take an active role in supporting and promoting the association.
Corporate Members of the eAA Board
Corporate Members are drawn from the eAA's sponsors who support the work of the association through financial sponsorship.
