Overview

A few years back Becta produced a fascinating overview of e-portfolios that effectively (and correct me if I am wrong) defined e-portfolios as coming in four types of usage

• A digital history of achievements work, education and leisure
• An electronic repository of evidence of competency, skills etc. – externally assessed
• A repository of ‘work in progress’ for a individual or team
• A tool to plan and prepare
   

We have been working in India for the last few years and recently begun to see an interest out there in 'evidenital portoflios' for training, learning and qualfiications, really for the first time. I have been asked several times if there is a simple overview of the functionality of e-portfolios.
